Help with my broken touchscreen

Hey guys, i'm new here and i would like to ask a favor for anyone who might help me,i got my old moto xoom mz604 back from some old chest,it was broken,the screen.But now i notice my touchscreen it's also giving me trouble, pressing things without anyone touching the tablet, i plugged my mouse and it worked fine but the problems with the touchscreen continues. So my my question and quest is, is there anyway i disable the touchscreen and use my mouse normally ? please if anyone know a way i would be very happy,thanks.
