Xoom tablet hanging at boot. Need assistance

I have acquired a Motorola Zoom tablet. After charging the device up, I powered on and immediately noticed that the device hangs at the red Motorola logo. Looking through the forums for some idea of what to do next, I found the options to do the factory restore and to clear the cache. So far I have done the following:

Cleared the cache.
Completed the factory restore.

After completing the factory restore, I select (via the volume buttons) reboot the device. After I reboot, it simply hangs at the red Motorola logo again.

Any idea's on what to do next? I have actually done the factory restore a couple of times with the same results.

Any tips on where to go next would be appreciated.
