Eos full wingray 4.4.4
I have upgraded my Xoom to TeamEos 4.4.4 wingray. I have downloaded and installed 5 updates. All from Nov of 2014. On occasion I will get a notification that two of the updates are redownloaded and ready to install. Are these really new updates.

Help! Xoom 3g - Cyanogenmod CM11 4.4.4 - locks up / freezes
I am not new to flashing custom Roms. I purchased this Xoom 3g tablet used. I thought the stock OS was a bit sluggish. So, I decided to install Cyanogenmod CM11 (everest). For some reason the tablet seems to freeze / lock-up intermittently. At this point I have to reboot, holding power button and volume button at the same time. I did some research and found an article stating there was some compatibility issues with the newest "p-gapps" package. So, I flashed an older version. I also read about some potential issues with the newest version of Chrome browser. I have since disabled it.
I am still having the same issue.
Ideas? I was thinking about OmniRom, only if it will fix my issue.

Intro
Hi I have a Xoom v 4.1.2 (Verizon) that I bought used and a Moto X (1st Gen). I joined this forum because I'd like to upgrade the Xoom OS if possible. I have AT&T so it doesn't update automatically. I use my tablet to stream TV shows and connect to my smart TV with an HDMI cable. I'd rather not use the cable but due to OS limitations screen sharing programs don't seem to be available.

So the battery in my Xoom is slowly going the way of all..., uh..., batteries.
The device is still useful, but the writing is on the wall.
The three things that attracted me to the Xoom in the first place were:
The Nexus 9 (heh..., 8.5) might be a good choice..., but my older eyes genuinely want the larger tablet. Maybe there's no practical difference between a Xoom and a Nexus 9 wrt overall screen size..., dunno.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 seems like a good compromise, but my phone is a Galaxy Note 2..., and while the "Samsung Experience" isn't the worst I've come across on an Android device, if it were possible to avoid it without too much pain, I would.
So..., if any of y'all are in a similar situation, care to share your thoughts?

Xoom Recall !!!
Hello Everyone,
Like many of you, I've been facing "Xoom not powering up issue".

im clueless SOS 0x0002
Hi, i might have messed up my tablet here.
i recently bought a used xoom tablet, and ofcourse had to try and root it.
looking for easy ways through it, i end up using Iroot. the thing got rooted, and everything was great.
i wanted to dabble further, so i tried downloading a rom and installing it.
"Failed image SOS 0x0002, starting RSD mode 0, battery info" is all i get when i power up the thing, cant get further than "starting fastboot protocol support"
now this thing won't work, and i have literally no idea how to fix it.
i cant access the tablet from C:, and i cant turn it on either. i'm very aware that i should've gotten a bit more in to this before playing around with system files, but it was very exciting until this. :smile:
if anyone is willing to help me i would be much obliged.

Updated Wingray and have removed root/SU
Hi all a while ago I rooted my Xoom, I installed things like TWRP CWM the big part mod, and installed 4.4.4 omni wingray on it. Truth be told I don;t really know what I'm talking about, I followed a guide. Anyway fast forward to today. I noticed it said I had a system update, I updated the omni software and it seemed to go fine however I have lost my root access and SETCPU doesn't work anymore. Is this normal? do I have to start again from the begining and wipe and root my xoom? Will I have to do this everytime there is an update?

Just wanna introduce myself
I recently obtained a Motorola XOOM, and I absolutely love the tablet. It's very efficient and helps me alot. I am a promotions director for an independant record label out of Austin, TX, and always on the go. Having a tablet really helps, but having a tablet that I actually like, well, until now, that was just a dream. It goes with me everywhere I go, and is so much easier than lugging a laptop and setting it up everywhere. I hate that Motorola has ceased updating and even supporting this tablet, but hey, with or without Moto support, I'm a XOOM fan for life.

Xoom freezes on boot animation; factory reset does not help
Hi:
So after the recent (February 2015) updates, my xoom (which I've had since 2011) freezes during the boot animation. I have done a factory reset on it 4 times. Every time the same thing, it boots once, I can use it, but the first time I reboot it freezes on the animations again. This is consistent. Every time it reboots after factory reset.
I have read through various forum threads, most of the posts indicate that a factory reset solved the issue. In my case, its not working.
I'm a novice user for tablets. I've never done anything to it other than use Google play and installed apps.
Suggestions?

Here Maps not working on either available ROM
Hi guys, this is my first post.
I had a Xoom MZ601 EVEREST with stock 4.0.4 and wanted to update it in order to be able to use Nokia Here Maps (android 4.1+ required). I have tried the EOS stable 3.0, Cyanogenmod 10 stable and 10.1 nightly, using always the proper Gapps pack and following the instructions.
I got everything working well but I cannot even open the here maps app, as soon as I open it it closes immediately, this happens with 4.1.1 and 4.1.2. Best I could achieve is a black screen on CM 10.1 4.2.2.
Any thoughts on where could be the problem?
FYI I tried the last version and two old betas, same results.
Additional comment, either the tablet is in vertical or horizontal position, when I try to open here maps and it quits, it flips the screen to vertical postion. Tried to lock the screen but didnt work.

Wifi Xoom video-cpu speed and other questions please help
Hello, sorry if this repeat this theme, I have my wifi Xoom updated to 4.1.2, have to start all over as I rooted this tablet as soon I get it long time ago, so I flash the stock firmware, get it updated to this current version, rooted again as instructions on this wonderfull site. I updated the firmware as I want to use the popcorntime app on this tablet and this app requires version 4.0 or up to work, the problem is that Im having problem watching movies as it freezes and have fragmentation issues, my inclination is to cpu speed as I dont overclocked this tablet and looking around dont find how to overclocked my wifi xoom. Correct me if Im wrong and what can I do to fix my problem. This is the information on my tablet version 4.1.2, kernel 2.6.39.4-g4e32b94 build jz054k, also I using it with my router at home, my computer have no problem with the app, so internet speed is not the issue. can I charge via USB or laptop?
My Xoom won't charge...I suspect its the adapter, its quite loose now. Usually works if you jiggle it a bit...but now its not charging at all.
Can I charge via USB or laptop?

my beloved Xoom is nearing its end :( Any suggestions for an upgrade/replacement?

my device cannot support adobe flash player
All of a sudden, I am no longer able to play cookie jam on my Xoom tablet. I get a message to install adobe flash player which I believe is already installed. I tried to install again but now get a message that adobe flash player is not supported by my device. How can i fix this? Please help.
