when trying to restart Xoom after freezing, I used the normal method with power key and volume up. This time the Motorola logo came up for a few seconds and then the colored swirls started like always. Now, the colored swirls just continue to run for long periods of time. Eventually when the start screen comes up and I slide the lock to open it goes right back to the start process with the Motorola logo and the colored swirls. I can't get it to boot and stay on. Any ideas? Thanks.

Explain why FileManagerHD will not copy files to system/media/~~ /ringtones
I have the ICS Xoom tablet by Motorola. The 1 ringtone is in device/root/system/media/audio/ringtones. Just one. And with FilemanagerHD it will not allow me to move files of the same format from /notifications just one level above into /ringtones? Why I ask? I'd appreciate any help! And thank you! Jack ";-Dx

I think I've really made a mess of things. Hopefully someone can come to the rescue...
I did a root using Root Genius. All seemed well so I loaded up the TWRP Root Manager app and attempted to install a recovery. It came back with an odd error message, which I unfortunately don't remember. I rebooted and it consistently gives me the following message every time I reboot it:
Failed Image SOS 0x0002
Starting RSD Mode 0
OneWire: Charger is not connected or battery is not being charged...
Battery charge level 100%
I've gone through the one click recovery pages, but the device is not connected.
Any hope of recovering from this amazingly brain dead error?

Cannnot write CDMA setting xoom mz600/mz602
My greeting to all. Have a problem with this tablet. First, all was working well, I had a cdma 3G on tablet, but tablet itself worked very slow. I decided to flash with fresh stock. And then knew that there are three models of xoom MZ600. As I know that my tablet with Verizon logo and I used CDMA internet, I flashed firmware for MZ600, all was good except I cannot flash setting of cdma network. I tried QPST, DFS and no result only some error in QPST. I can read setting from tablet but cannot write back them. Then I found that there is MZ602 model which looks like MZ600 but with LTE CDMA. So I tried to flash with this firmware but also no result. Maybe some one know what the problem? I tried maybe 10 or more different stock firmwares, but no luck. Before I started to flash I made a photo of system info. And I see that baseband was the same that I have now also the firmware. Baseband CDMA_N_03.1A.71P LTEDC_U_09.1F.00 Android 4.1.2 Build JZ054M. Please help.

Need Some Help Guys ASAP
Ok, I have the XOOM MZ602 and its not bad, just need help with one thing. What is the size of the connector pin that plugs into the unit from the ac? I want to use my power bank to charge it that way but need to find an adapter for the connector pin.
Unless anyone else knows how to charge this thing mobile, really a bummer on them doing that?

Resolution Is Really Bad
I just bought a refurbished MZ602 andeverything works great but one and its important to me. The resolution when I play Espn or live tv even with great wi/fi is horrible. I know its not the signal cause I have my Elipsis running side by side.
What is the deal here, man it cant be that blurry, looks like crap. What do I need to change or make sure is right cause I cant use this if its like that.

MZ604 restore not working
Hi, I have been trawling through so many posts, pages etc. But I'm stuck, basically this password doesn't work and when I have tried to hard reset, wiped everything and now only gets as far as the red start up logo and hangs. When I restore it says every thing has been done but nothing happens when reboot. Tried to install a new version but keeps failing. Can any one help me out.

Menory card 64gb XC dont fit the Xoom card slot?!?

I am trying to use a brand new Qilive 62GB XC I (class 10) memory card on my Motorola Xoom MZ605 with ICS 4.0.2 and apparently it doesnt fit in the memory card hole on the tablet... I mean i cant insert it properly in the tablet card slot... When i insert the card it goes down the card slot and thats it.. It seems its loose..
This is very strange because my SanDisk 8GB HC card fits well easy in the tablet card slot.. When i insert this card on the slot it make that click and fit well in the slot..
Are the 64Gb cards different?? It seem that the 64 Gb are bigger and thick and fatty cards...

Speech to Text has gone berserk
I am running Android version 4.1.2 build JZ054K
Every time I open an app that allows text entry and put the cursor in a text box, Speech to text opens up and after 10 seconds or so, goes away. the on screen keyboard does not appear. If I tap the screen to open the keyboard, speech to text pops up and after 10 seconds or so it goes back to sleep.
No matter what I do I cannot get the on screen keyboard to open. Speech to text has hijacked my Xoom. :crying:
When Speech to text is displayed, the microphone is red. No matter which of the icons on the speech to text applet panel I touch it ignores my input.
I rarely use that function and I would not be upset if it got turned off permanently. I don't see anywhere in the settings where I can disable it.

Not seeing files on SD card in recovery.
I have unlocked and installed cwm recovery on my UK Xoom.
I can now enter recovery, but when I select install items from USB, there is nothing listed.
Can anyone advise me as I want to flash a custom firmware.

speaker dock issue on kitkat
Hey, so I recently got a "new" original hd speaker dock, and when my xoom was on 4.1.2 it worked amazingly. I just did the CM upgrade to kitkat and now the speaker wont do anything but charge. Has anyone had this issue/solved it??

Install a new OS
Hi, I'm still having problems with my Xoom. I can see from my peri viola post no one knows what to do😔. Does any one know how I can install android on to the SD card not fussed what version just need it to work. All the online guides ask for the xoom to be in bebug mode but I can't do that. Recovery does not work. Their must be away to install the OS on to the SD card without it being in the xoom. Can any one point me in the right direction? The only other option I have is to buy a new logic board which I'm loathed to do as it is fine just missing some files.

weird browser lag/freezing

Having this annoying problem which seems to be escallating, and I'm not sure what to do about it. First off I inherited this tab from my brother, he got it from Verizon with a phone contract, so I believe it is the WiFi only, not sure if there is a way to tell for sure? But it's honeycomb, 4.1.2
It seems i've been having this problem since about the time I installed chrome beta, but not sure there is any connection, in fact I originally thought it was just a problem with that browser, but then I noticed it was happening eith the stock browser as well, but it seems to be isolated to the browsers, and the settings, don't have any trouble with netflix or any other apps so far. Also I don't have much on here, there's plenty of free memory, i'm only using about 4 gb out of 32.
So, the problem is, when I'm browsing the web, the screen becomes unresponsive every so often for no apparent reason, and during this time I can't switch tabs, use home nav keys, back arrow etc., nothing will work. Then after maybe 20 seconds, the little popup comes up saying 'browser has become unresponsive' and when I hit 'WAIT,' every time without fail, it frees up. It's almost like putting that message up is what is freezing it. It's very odd. Anyway, I didn't wanna do a reset until I asked around first and see if anyone has any ideas? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Also, I'm not completely computer illiterate, nor a moron, but I don't have any formal education with them either, so if it's anything too advanced you might have to explain in detail, or answer a few questions, but you can guage what I know from there. Thanks

System Update Help
Years ago I bought a wifi only Xoom on ebay, when I got it I figured out that it had already been rooted, which at the time was fine. After some time the update notification would come up, but would fail. This got annoying and over time more apps became incompatible. I just "returned to stock" by the thread on this forum, installed HWI69. That was successful, after that finished the bootloader updated, but the system update still fails. I build race cars for a living so all this is a bit over my head. What I want, if possible is the latest update by the easiest means.
