Xoom tablet hanging at boot. Need assistance

I have acquired a Motorola Zoom tablet. After charging the device up, I powered on and immediately noticed that the device hangs at the red Motorola logo. Looking through the forums for some idea of what to do next, I found the options to do the factory restore and to clear the cache. So far I have done the following:

Cleared the cache.
Completed the factory restore.

After completing the factory restore, I select (via the volume buttons) reboot the device. After I reboot, it simply hangs at the red Motorola logo again.

Any idea's on what to do next? I have actually done the factory restore a couple of times with the same results.

Any tips on where to go next would be appreciated.

Front facing camera & dark images

Does anybody else have an issue with the front facing camera requiring quite a bit of light to display images and look decent? Using Gchat with friends, they complain my camera image is very dark. I have to get to a place where it's very well lit for anybody to see the images well. I know it's only 1.3mb camera, but it's not very bright.

Wonder if anybody else noticed this on their Xoom.

Can I remove GORDY and DUNGEON from my Xoom Tablet. I didnt install them!

This Xoom came with Gordy and some Dungeon program. Why does it force me to keep them when I do not want them? A way to remove them? Thanks! Jack ":-Dx

Hi,

I'm running a XOOM with the newest software, I believe 4.1.2, right?

I had Minecraft PE a while ago, and had to uninstall for some reason. I wanted to go re-install it, and now I can't. It's giving me an "unknown error code" of "-24" after it downloads and tries to install it. It's really driving me nuts, would be glad if anyone could help. Thanks in advance.

Motorola Xoom will not power on no matter what i do, help?

I haven't used it much for years except here and there. But I want to start using it again and also to root it now that I know how, after switching from iPhone to Android.
So I found it, I tried to power it on. Nothing happened, not even the red light at the bottom. So I thought maybe it's so dead that it won't even flash the light (?) ...I couldn't find my charger so I plugged in the USB connecting it to my computer. Nothing still. I tried the volume up with power on. Nothing. I even tried for a full 30 seconds, still nothing.
Is it likely completely broken? Is there anything I can do?

MZ602 Stuck On Boot Screen help please!!!!

Bought a xoom mz602 and its stuck on the dual core screen. I tried rsd lite VZW_MZ602_signed_HLK75H_signed_MDM6600_03.1A.5D_si gned_user_LTEDC_U_05.19.07.combo flashes then goes to lte mode and fails? I haven't tried fastboot mode because i can't find mz602 stock images it would be awesome if somebody had them images so i can download them. Any help would be awesome running out of ideas.. Also forgot to add won't boot into recovery goes to oem mode and just stays there can only boot fastboot or rsd.

I have a Motorola Xoom Tablet with ICS. Yes, several years old. Just after I bought it Adobe stopped supporting flash. I have never found anything to work in place of it although several tries were failures. Even a browser that was supposed to play flash. Didn't. So the reason I am asking again is I have my first smartphone, a gift, an Alcatel OneTouch Android and it plays all the Facebook and website videos neat as you please. How come my Moto Xoom can't? Is there any fix for this? Or have I just totally asked the wrong thing in the wrong place. No doubt ....

MZ601 stuck on Fastboot after trying to install a custom recovery

So I rooted my tablet and I tried to install a custom recovery (TWRP 2.6.3.0 Wingray) and after installing I rebooted my tablet to check if it works, after that I am stuck on RDS mode 0 with a red text saying: Failed image SOS 0x0002 I can hear if it's connected working to my PC and I can see it's name and type but not access it's files I tried looking at: Failed Image SOS 0x0002 and following the links and all that was but I couldn't access the tablet, after every command it said:"Wating for device".

What do I do?

i dont know what os it has now or what it can take or how to go about doing it ive heard about

Why does Google Play keep stopping?

I have been unable to connect to websites or Facebook on my Motorola Xoom although I was able to receive email.


I did a factory reset and emails, websites and Facebook load fine in Browser. However, I cannot add any apps because I get the continual message "unfortunately Google Play has stopped".


Nothing I do will get the Play Store to load so I can't add any apps. I can't add the apps from my laptop either as the reset removed my device from my account.

Google play stops

Running 4.4.4 team eos. Recent upgrades to google play make google play services stop and process.com.google.proceess.gapps stop. Frustrating nag it's every few seconds. Tried rolling it back but it updated automatically and several APS won't run without latest google play ap running. Tried stopping it but then gmail won't work.

Any ideas?

Motorola Xoom Wifi+3G stuck on starting fastboot protocol

Hi,
I am in desperate need of help, my motorola xoom is stuck on starting fastboot protocol & I am not able to get into recovery mode to reset it.
I am not even able to click on the developer options in settings, somehow its just not letting me click on it.
Please help!!

Stuck on lock screen

Hey guys,

I was using a custom rom on my xoom (mz605) and after getting errors from play store these days i decided to get back to stock in order to be able to download again from play store, so i downloaded from Motorola's website (https://motorola-global-portal.custh...ecovery-images) the stock image and made the process to flash via fastboot.

But when i power on i get stuck on the lock screen saying: 'the tablet is out of connection. Please insert a sim card and reboot'.

So i need to buy another sim card and get activation with some burocracy here in brazil and it will be so easy if i just stay with wifi as i used to be on stock and custom...

What can i do to bypass this lockscreen and use the system?

Gmail problem

The newer version of Gmail was fine until about 4 weeks ago and it started shutting down after seconds or a minute after logging in (appearing). I uninstalled and installed the Gmail app, the old version works, however if I change it to the newer version (in color and three sorted categories) it shuts down. Is there any reason why this started to happen and is there a way to fix this?
