busted screen.

Long time no post.

I recently knocked my xoom on the corner and soon after i had a rainbow of colours on the screen followed by no screen at all.
Before it went completly black i could still bring up the keyboard so i hope digitiser is ok.
Is it worth just buying a new lcd screen or should i get both screen and digitiser.
Am also thinking is it worth buying an hdmi adaptor to check output to monitor.
I have bought a new tablet(sony xperia) but would prefer to fix xoom if possable. It's just a better tablet.

Motorola Xoom MZ602 Issue

I had to reload my Motorola Xoom with HTK75D. I originally bought the Xoom with 3g then sent to Motorola when they had the upgrade to 4g LTE. Since reloading the tablet, my SD card and 4G LTE are no longer working. Is there something I have to do to get this functionality back?

All attempts to update my xoom fe wifi (purchased years ago at best buy) respond "server or connection unavailable" even after a factory reset. Am I at the end of the line at android v3.1 with this tablet?

Trying to download audio messages uploaded with windows media player...can i have any suggestions? Somehow I got into my head that Xoom has a firewall that maybe stopping it?

After reading recommendations on the forum regarding an SD card for my Xoom I gather I should buy a 32GB Micro sdhc card. Will I have to reform at it before using it in my Xoom? I have the original Xoom.

Questions about rooting?

Sorry if this already exists but I'm new here. I have an original Xoom and it's U.S., Wi-Fi only, and it's running 4.1.2 jelly bean build number JZO54k. I want to root it so I can overclock it and many other things. I also want to know if I have to unlock the bootloader, if so how? And the chances of getting bricked. And how to install custom roms and what the best custom rom. Finally, how do you install kitkat? Sorry for all of the questions but you know. One last EXTREMELY important question, will this void my squaretrade warrenty? It covers jailbroken iphones/ipads but it says nothing about rooting androids.

Faulty power button?

Hello great forum btw anyway bought verizon xoom off ebay, I knowI know The xoom had a 30 day warranty, about day 28 I was unable to power on the table by using the power button. I basically was able to power it on by using the power button and vol up. as time went on it became harder to turn on the xoom power and up as well as down vol. I did one last reboot now it will not power back up. The xoom never hung ran like a clock. So my question is as follows

1 does it sound like the whole back piece to include power and vol could be bad ?

2 What is the reason why it would only start holding the vol and power button?

3 any have a tech manual for troubleshooting trouble tree/flowchart

4 xoom is charging I get a white light then green, @ diffrent chargers same result.

Next step purchase parts or a part xoom then replace parts ? Throw from roof video it send to certicell@ebay.com?

Trash can disappeared

There has previously been a "trash can" I could tap to delete a photo from my tablet but it is gone for some reason. Can anyone advise how I can get it back? I have pictures I really need to delete. The trash can was previously in the top right corner of my tablet if I tapped on a picture.

Xoom is just out of warranty (of course) and the right 50% of the display is diminished in brightness. Touchscreen still functions. Any ideas?

Is anyone familiar with this error code? It shows when i turn it on and it only gets to the screen with the logo by pressing the power and up volume button

Starting rsd protocol support 0

onewire: charger is connected

battery charge level: 0%

when i plug it in the battery charge level goes up but it still will not come on

Please help me....i use it religiously :-)

Hi all
My name is Lisa and I have Motorola Xoom, Android version 3.0.1, Kernel version 2.6.36.3 (hope this info helps). Every time I try to do the system update, it will not install. Says that it failed.
Is there anyone that can help me. This is frustrating!

Just cos im not sure whether to just go flat out and get an ipad or get a reasonably priced tablet. It would be a shame to say goodbye to gameloft and infiniy blade etc :smile:

WiFi doesn't work

Hey all,

so i tried to root my android phone and it worked...

I've root my phone bcz i need to connect to ad-hoc connection from my laptop so i tryed THIS PAGE
and i did all steps of it (I've used wpa_supplicant v6)

Now when i want to turn on my wifi from phone when I go into settings to turn it on I click on it and it does'n becomes checked,(it doesn't switch to ON)

what should i do??
